Rich in history and informed by classic tradition, Chinthurst is a small-scale vineyard in the heart of the Surrey Hills.
Chinthurst was established in 2014 when six hundred vines of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay were planted on a portion of our four-acre site.
We are proud to contribute to the growing English winemaking tradition and believe that the craft commercial winemaker can compete successfully with high-volume corporate distilleries.

We take pleasure in small-scale, hand-made production in which craftsmen engage directly in a harmonious journey from beginning to end.

Fine wine needs patience, dedication and love; ours is reinforced by the age and wisdom of Chinthurst Hill, land already rich with history.
Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1895, Chinthurst Hill was not only his first major commission, but also the start of his famous collaboration with Gertrude Jekyll. The house and gardens stand as a backdrop to the vineyard.
