Rich in history and informed by classic tradition, Chinthurst is a small-scale vineyard in the heart of the Surrey Hills countryside.
In 2014 Chinthurst Hill Vineyards was established on one of the finest southern slopes of the Surrey Hills. Six hundred vines of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay were planted on a portion of our 3.8 acre site. Only a year later, these vines bore our first bottles of Chinthurst Hill Rose and this initial success emboldened us to continue with our goal of expanding the vineyard and producing quality sparkling wine on a par with the best in the world.
We take pleasure in small-scale,hand-made production in whichcraftsmen engage directly in a harmonious journey from beginning to end.
We are proud to contribute to the growing English winemaking tradition. We believe that the craft commercial winemaker can compete successfully with high-volume corporate distilleries.

Set high on a hill, approached by a long winding drive and large wooden gates, Lutyens first major commission, Chinthurst Hill has been described as being situated on ‘the finest site in the South of England’. Chinthurst Hill was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1893-1895, built in bargate stonequarried from the hillside and finished with the finest craftesmanship then available. Today it has been restored to its former glory and stands as an exquisite backdrop to the vineyard.
